In an eight-week study, researchers found participants taking supplements containing sesamin and vitamin E had stronger hair strength. The oil can also be used topically in beauty treatments for the skin. In traditional medicine, sesame oil is commonly used to regenerate healthy skin, because of its anti-aging properties.

Sesame oil is a great anti-inflammatory substance because it’s rich in copper. The mineral is incredibly important for the body because it can help reduce inflammation. In Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, sesame oil is a popular ingredient. Sesame oil can be either made from toasted or not-toasted sesame seeds, we recommend buying sesame oil made from toasted sesame seeds. It’s darker and has a richer flavor.
